Vardells Ltd has been supplying EPoS Systems for some 20 years and
in that time has built up a nucleus of longstanding, loyal Customers
for whom and with whom the Vardells Micro Retailer System has been
developed. This cooperation means that the VMR System is now one
of the most sophisticated, best featured and yet easy to understand,
and use, EPoS Systems available.
One of the main strengths of Vardells is that we offer a true
"turnkey solution" wherein we develop and support our own
software solutions; build the pc to run the software , linked to
brand leading EPoS peripherals.
Once in the field the
hardware is supported by our own team of field engineers.

From
our head office in Buxton Derbyshire, set in the beautiful High
Peak District, Vardells operate a full R and D, Sales and Software/
Hardware Support operation.
Support packages are
tailored to the individual needs of the Retailer and are
flexible enough to provide Software and Hardware Support through
the busiest of trading periods, including late night opening,
weekends and the inevitable Christmas crush.
Vardells present customers range from
a UK based, Franchised Off License chain which, with Vardells help,
has grown to over 520 shops, through a Clothing Retailer with 35
shops, a Music and DVD Chain with 30 shops down to small independent
retailers with 5 plus Convenience Stores and the UK Toyshop of the
Year with 2 branches and a Central Warehouse.
Vardells are a member of the Intel Product Integrator Scheme
and only use Intel parts for our in house built Server PCs.
Relationships such as these will become more important as
the trend for Operating System Suppliers like Microsoft to
work more closely with Chip Manufacturers, like Intel and
AMD, grows. Vardells are already preparing to utilise the
Microsoft/AMD 64 Bit offering into our product range.
Vardells realise that Retail
is a volatile business and strive to ensure that any “need
to have” or “nice to have features are incorporated into our
Systems. For example we are currently rolling out some 1500
Veriphone 500 Chip and Pin units, and have just completed
links to the PostTS, Telephone Card, E-TopUp System through
our MR9300 Till System obviating the need for Retailers to
have two machines on their counters.
